A Small Town with Big Ambition
Since erecting the first cotton gins and mills in the United States, Sachse has maintained a tradition of staying ahead of the curve. Sachse is located in the DFW Metroplex and straddles the line between Dallas County and Collin county, giving its residents easy access to all parts of DFW while maintaining a comfortable distance from the mile-a-minute bustle of city life.
In November 2010, Sachse was inducted into the National Environmental Hall of Fame for its green energy initiatives and commitment to maintaining a sustainable community. Sachse’s Green Building Program demonstrates the city’s regard for environmental, economic, and social stewardship.
Sachse is served by two great school districts, WYLIE ISD and GARLAND ISD. Both school districts have earned high marks for education quality, Garland ISD has a “choice of school” system that allows students in the district to attend any Garland ISD school. Sachse is also within a short distance of Richland College and Collin College.
